Any orders placed before 12:00 noon on a working weekday
will be dispatched the same day. We will do our best to process orders placed
after this time for same day dispatch as we know how hard it is to wait for
fabric to arrive, but we cannot guarantee it. Orders placed on a weekend or
bank holiday will be processed the next working day.
Any orders placed before 12:00 noon on Tuesdays and Fridays in December will be dispatched the same day.
Orders placed on other days will be processed on the next dispatch day (either Tuesday or Friday whichever comes next) and will be sent out First Class or 24.
If you're not in when the delivery arrives Royal Mail will leave a card which covers the delivery options available to you at that time.
Yes, everything on our web site is physically in stock at Patterns and Plains. Occasionally someone else may have put the same items as you in their basket and check out sooner so it is no longer available when you check out. If this happens please e-mail us and we’ll let you know how soon the item will be back in stock.
Please see our Returns and Refunds policy which covers this topic.
Yes, samples are available – just add them to your basket. Samples are sent out where we have fabric stock available but please do not take too long to decide which fabrics to buy as we may have sold out by the time you order.
Yes, just click on the button on the fabric product page and we will add a 100m reel of Gutermann Sew All to your order in a colour that best matches your fabric. If you require more reels, just increase the number in your shopping basket.
Yes, we recommend that you prewash and dry the fabric in accordance with the recommended care instructions. Most fabrics, depending on their structure and fibre composition, will shrink a little bit. Fabrics need to be manufactured under some tension and washing relaxes them. Generally woven fabrics may shrink up to 5% (allow 10% for linens) and knits (jersey) up to 10%.
