We're already nearly halfway through November and with the evenings now well and truly dark thanks to the clocks changing, it must be time to think about party frocks and festive wear.

It's a knitted polyester elastane velour in a splendid abstract print called Wave. It drapes beautifully with a hint of stretch — great for fitted and flowing styles and comes in two super colourways. The Black and Orange will really make you a statement piece and you'll be the talk of the party, or perhaps more subdued is your style with the Black and Blue with silver and brown.

Next is Kensington - a velour very similar to Richmond but with a tad more elastane and more sparkle - this one has a gold print on the surface as well as being printed in blacks, browns and silver.
As with all velours and velvets it can look very different depending which way the pile runs. It also feels very different when you stroke it in each direction - the pile and the gold print giving it a slightly rougher feel against the nap but very smooth with it - and it looks fabulous. It would make a gorgeous evening gown.
